Common HVAC Problems

  • Noisy Units

Your A/C should run quietly. If it's making squealing noises, turn off the power and check the fan belt. If it's in good shape, check the pulley. If it's not turning properly, you need to lubricate the bearings.

  • Frozen Parts

Occasionally the coils in your air conditioning unit will freeze. Simply turn the air conditioner off and use a hair dryer to thaw the frozen coils.

  • Dirty Equipment

Occasionally, the grills on your air conditioner will clog with dirt and dust. Disassemble the air conditioning unit and clean it, but be careful not to get water on the electronics. Then reassemble the unit and turn it back on.

Energy-Efficient equipment

Air conditioner

HVAC.com offers efficiency and reliability with Carrier's ingenious, industry-leading Infinity® Series central air conditioning unit. After one of our NATE-certified technicians installs your unit, you'll enjoy amazingly low utility bills.

Heat pump

The Carrier Infinity® Series heat pump heats and cools your home. When heating your home, heat is transferred using the air outside to warm your home. When cooling your home, the device works like a normal air conditioner. When the heat pump is combined with the HYBRID HEAT system, it gives you an alternate heating source for the most energy efficiency.

Proper Air Conditioning

If your HVAC system is not properly installed, it may only be cooling your home at a percentage of its potential. Keep cool and save money with a proper HVAC installation from our network of NATE-certified technicians.
